The opening ceremony of the 2024 Shenzhen Longhua Open took place yesterday in Longhua District. The tournament is co-hosted by the Chinese Tennis Association and the Longhua District Government, with support from the district's bureau of culture, media, tourism, and sports.

Running through Oct. 20 at the Mission Hills Ecological Sports Park, the event has attracted top tennis players from 22 countries and regions. Notable participants include several ATP top 100 players, such as France's Arthur Cazaux, Australia's Adam Walton, America's Mackenzie McDonald and Zachary Svajda, and China's Bai Yan, Sun Fajing, Cui Jie, and Mo Yecong.

This year, the tournament boasts a prize pool of US$133,250, with the winners earning 100 ATP points, according to the organizing committee.

Since debuting in 2016, the Shenzhen Longhua Open has become a major fixture in the Chinese tennis calendar.
