Meisha Subdistrict takes the initiative in implementing Yantian District’s strategy of accelerating the building of a coastal district featuring modernity, international influence and innovation that is suitable for living, working and traveling. It aims to build an international talent community with an excellent ecological environment, sustainable development paths and all-round services where people can live a happy life.

With three sides surrounded by mountains and one side facing the sea, Meisha Subdistrict boastsan unparalleled ecological environment. The coastline here is rated as among China’s eight most beautiful coastlines by Chinese National Geography. Forest and water protection has always been one of the subdistrict’s top priorities.

Home to famous tourist attractions such as Dameisha Beach Park, Dameisha Outlets, Yantian seaside plank roads, OCT East, Shenzhen Marina Club, Xiaomeisha Resorts and Xiaomeisha Sea World (currently under renovation), Meisha Subdistrict is without a doubt a gem of Shenzhen’s tourism industry.

As the number of foreign enterprises and expat residents in the subdistrict is large, the demandfor foreign affairs services remains high. Meisha Subdistrict has been making efforts to improve relevant services. Bilingual signage has been set up in most residential areas, hotels, shopping complexes, schools, hospitals, police stations and subdistrict offices, and English-speaking staff members can now be found in the subdistrict administration service hall. The compilation of bilingual brochures including “Meisha Life Guide” and “Meisha Travel Map” is currently underway. In addition, the subdistrict also actively organizes activities of different types to promote the exchange of cultures. During the COVID-19 outbreak in 2020, the subdistrict maintained close contact with enterprises and residential compounds where expats work and live, and disseminated pandemic prevention and control information in a timely manner via various channels to better inform expat residents.
