Introduction to the Park Featured attractions

Donghu Park is situated in the eastern area of Shenzhen. It is bordered by Wutong Mountain to the east, Aiguo Road to the west, Shensha Road and Yanhe North Road to the south, and is adjacent to the main dam of the Shenzhen Reservoir to the north. Covering an area of 193.21 hectares, it is one of the earliest established comprehensive municipal parks in Shenzhen.

The developed red line area of Donghu Park currently covers an area of 152.59 hectares. Its main scenic areas include the Chigeng Mountain Scenic Area, Eastern Leisure Area, Flower and Tree Garden, Bougainvillea Garden, Ancient Tree Garden, Fishing Zone, Palm Garden, Artificial Lake, Buddhist Culture Park, Children's Amusement Area and more. Additionally, the park is equipped with large-scale cultural and recreational facilities such as cultural squares, the Hongli Painting and Calligraphy Hall, Guduiling hiking trail, and more.

The Chrysanthemum Exhibition is an annual grand floral event held in Donghu Park, starting from 1984. Originally named the Donghu Autumn Chrysanthemum Festival, it primarily showcases traditional chrysanthemum artworks such as the large-flowered chrysanthemum, tree chrysanthemum, and various cultivated varieties. The exhibition has been held for 33 sessions and takes place in late November each year.
