People gather to celebrate Lantern Festival

Sandra Jimenez Barrilado (L) from Spain and Byron John Eveson from Canada present lanterns they have made at an event in Guiyuan Subdistrict, Luohu District, on Thursday to mark the Lantern Festival, which falls on Friday. The event featured introduction to the Lantern Festival, dance shows, lantern making and riddle solving, among other traditional activities held to celebrate the festival, which marks the end of the Chinese New Year celebration.
